Weekly Bible Thought – Psalm 18:1-2

Blessings of God’s strength this week!   Prayer requests?  As always, confidential!

Psalm 18:1-2, “I love you, Lord, my strength.  The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

When the Old Testament’s King David, the servant of the Lord, escaped his enemies, he sang these words of respect and recognition of the Lord’s deliverance.

“I love you” – Does “love of the Lord” describe your daily attitude and actions?

“Strength” – The Lord empowers with soundness and stamina of mind and soul.

“Rock” – The Lord stabilizes and secures your present and future.

“Fortress” – God surrounds and shelters your innermost being.

“Deliverer” – God transports you to safe emotional and spiritual places.

“Shield” – God shuts out enemy assaults through faith.

“Horn of Salvation” – Through Christ, God saves eternally and daily from that which would discourage or devour.

“Stronghold” – God settles us in His high tower of holiness above all hopelessness.

God enters your life through faith in His Son.  Will you allow Him entrance and access to all areas this week?
