Baby on Board

Yes, the Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton, is pregnant!  Tabloids have speculated for weeks and the Royal Family finally confirmed the truth.  It seems all of Great Britain is delighted as well as many others especially those of us ‘across the pond’ who follow such things.

The baby will be born next year.  According to new legislation awaiting approval, no matter whether it’s a boy or girl, it will eventually be heir to the British throne.

But you, dear believer, are not only heirs to God’s Kingdom, you have immediate access to your inheritance.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,” 1 Peter 1:3-4

“This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 3:6

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,” Hebrews 12:28

Congratulations to the Royal family and congratulations to all baby believers!

It is amazing how much publicity and talk will take place about William and Kate’s baby. The birth of Christ is so much more – He came to save the world. If people truly understood that, I think we would hear a lot more about His birth at this time of year and our focus would be on celebrating that rather than gift-buying, baking and decorating.
