Grammy Noms and Joyful Noises

Recently in Nashville, Tennessee LL Cool J and Taylor Swift hosted the Grammy Nominations concert featuring performances by fun., Hunter Hayes, Maroon 5, Luke  Bryan, Ne-Yo and LL Cool J, Janelle Monae, and Dierks Bentley.  The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 10 in Los Angeles and trophies in 81 categories will be handed out.

The nominees in the top categories range from rockers to hip-hop to an Indie pop band to R&B to a British folk rock band to a Jazz artist as the Grammy Awards celebrated the diversity of music.  Six different artists tied for the most nominations: Kanye West, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean,  Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons and fun.

It was reported that there were no major snubs among the top nominees although Justin Bieber’s manager and fans beg to differ.

No matter what kind of music you prefer, what about listening to or singing music that glorifies God?  You know, the kind of music that brings joy to your heart and God’s.

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” Psalm 95:1
