Bible Thought Blessings – Matthew 1:23

Blessings of God’s presence this week!  Prayer Requests?

Matthew 1:23, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means, “God with us.”

Jesus’ birth fulfilled the words of the Old Testament prophet, Isaiah, recorded in Isaiah 7:14.  The name, Immanuel, describes Jesus perfectly.

John 1:1-2, 14, “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

When we meet Jesus Christ we encounter God.

Colossians 1:15, “He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.”

Hebrews 1:3, “The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

This CHRISTmas season meet Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Eternal Father, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
