Bible Thought Blessings – Genesis 12:1, 4

Blessings of strong faith this week!  Prayer requests?

Genesis 12:1, 4, “Now the Lord said to Abram, go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land I will show you.” 12:4, “So Abram went forth as the Lord had spoken to him …”

The Lord God instructed Abram (soon to be Abraham, 17:5) to begin his path and purpose according to God’s plan.  And, Abram obeyed.

It’s not too late to consider what God has for you in 2013.  Sometimes He stirs us up and out of our cushy surroundings.  Be willing to go.

For this year’s journey, pack your bags with clothes of righteousness and garments of truth purchased by His Son, Jesus.  Add adornments of holiness available through His Holy Spirit.  Squeeze in sturdy walking shoes to support His Gospel of Peace (Ephesians 6) and carefully load love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness and self-control (Galatians 5).  To complete your travel preparations tuck in His gifts of grace and mercy.

Now, like Abram, grab all your gear and go forth with faith to the location, situation or relationship God reveals.  None of us knows what the next 11 1/2 months will bring but God does.  Face it all with His perfect faith.
