Valentine Bible Blessings

1 John 3:18, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions …”

A valentine card, red roses and fresh vanilla cream roasted brew awaited me this morning.  My sweet spouse knows how to cover me with kindness.  The plans to fix dinner for me tonight really put the cherry on top of this day.  And, “Why not?” you may ask.  After all, this is the annual day of love.

While the card and roses are not routine the acts of love are.  They show me what a tender and true example of how to treat others.  Today or any day.

Christian love is selfless, sacrificial, expressed through actions, expects nothing and is what Christ calls us to show.  So, to whom will you demonstrate love not only today but every day?

Oh, it’s still okay to announce, belt out, cry, declare, divulge, express, mention, pronounce, relate, reveal, shout, speak, tell, utter, verbalize or even whisper, “I love you.”
